| Lisa Gade reviews the Toshiba Excite 7.7 Android tablet. The tablet has a 7.7" 1280 x800 AMOLED display with vibrant colors, and a quad core 1.3GHz Tegra 3 CPU. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sells for $449 for the 16GB model. It's very thin and light, and features a metal casing and Gorilla Glass. It has WiFi, Buletooth, GPS, 2 cameras, microSD card slot and a USB host port but no HDMI port. |

| The Toshiba Excite 7.7 that I showed you back at CES 2012 has finally arrived. This tablet seems to be in a class by itself which unfortunately comes at a hefty cost. Pricing aside, this 7.7 tablet holds the promise of being the best sub 10" tablet to date. Toshiba has clearly made a luxury tablet here by laying down the gauntlet on specs and design. The tablet is comprised of a 7.7 Super AMOLED display paired with a Tegra 3, 1GB of ram, micro-SD card slot, micro USB, GPS and front/rear cameras. With the 16GB WiFi version priced at $499.99 Toshiba has made it clear that this impressive spec sheet carry's a hefty price tag. Now to the unboxing of the Excite 7.7... Enjoy! -TDD |

| Get your Excite 7.7 from Amazon today! The Toshiba Excite 7.7 is one of, if not the best tablets I have ever had the pleasure of using. Unfortunately, its price point and lack of marketing leave this unsung hero a likely target for clearance sales in the not so distant future. Despite the initial sticker shock, in a world of iPad bliss where $500 or more is still considered reasonable for a tablet, the 7.7 is a star. That probably explains Toshiba's price points (16GB $499.99/32GB $579.99) but without marketing, the public is left to ask "why not get an iPad or Transformer Pad Infinity?". Even though the E7.7 is pricey, most will be very pleased with performance, build and eventual value as long as Toshiba continues to actively update the OS. A Jelly Bean update should be built into the luxury tax this tablet carries.The entire Excite lineup also benefits from a strong array of accessories but exorbitant pricing again foils an other wise perfect choice.
