Three weeks after she got it, it was stolen. Amazon worked with our police department to find the person who had taken it. Amazon first put a hold on the person's account and shut down the Kindle Fire so it wouldn't work. Then, once Amazon had a subpoena, Amazon gave the police all the information the thief had registered to my daughter's Kindle Fire and the police were able to recover it and get it back to us. Since that time, we have purchased an additional Kindle Fire and, just recently, a Kindle Fire HD. | Amazon kindle fire HD 7" (2013) Model 3rd Generation tablet review - why it is not the best buy This is a cheap version of Amazon Kindle Fire, It is priced at $139 It has 1.5 Dual Core processor, comes in 8GB or 16GB version. The few things that I dint like about it was that the camera has been removed from the device, The 2nd generation had one and the 3rd gen does not, It does not have a microphone, and the fact that it only comes with 8GB or 16GB storage is simply not enough. Price is little attractive however the fact that its missing some few key features makes this device questionable. The only thing i liked about it that it originally runs on Google software so so can root it later and install Android software on it, as long as you stop updating software on it. Amazon updates there operating system to block unauthorized software being installed on there device. |
